| Description | On July 14, 2025, the National Blood Transfusion Institute of Serbia (ITKS) abolished the blanket 6-month deferral for MSM. Serbia moved to a gender-neutral, individual risk assessment. This means gay and bisexual men in stable, monogamous relationships can donate blood with no deferral period. A 3-month deferral applies only to individuals (regardless of gender) who have had a new sexual partner or engaged in high-risk behavior within that timeframe. |
