  • Newer law has been passed "As of 2022, thanks to the Mexican senate conversion therapy is classified nationwide as a felony punishable by 2 to 6 years in prison, which is doubled if the victim is underage. The bill is called ECOSIG. "
  • Newer law has been passed "11/10/22 a change in the penal code was passed in the Mexican senate typifying conversion therapies as a crime. This is the document in question. Since we’re a federal republic this effectively bans the “procedure” in the whole country, modifications to each state’s constitutions are not required for it to be a crime already http://sil.gobernacion.gob.mx/Archivos/Documentos/2022/10/asun_4409937_20221011_1665521905.pdf"
