1904 in LGBT Rights

In 1904, there were 3 recorded legal changes made affecting LGBT people. In the previous year, there were changes made and in the following year. A total of 14 legal changes were made in the 1900s.

  • June 15
    LGBT housing discrimination becomes no protections.
  • LGBT discrimination becomes no protections.
    As homosexual conduct is illegal, discrimination against LGBTQ+ people are very present. Most recently, the anti-homosexuality bill tried to make it illegal for any person to not report an LGBT individual.

    Homosexual activity becomes illegal (other penalty).
    Male Homosexuality is punishable by 14 years in prison under the Nigerian Penal Code. Laws is unclear about female Homosexuality in the Nigerian Penal code , in which the southern part of Nigeria rules . However in the Northern Nigeria, where things are ruled by Sharia Law the punishment are different . In some states in Northern Nigeria, consenting and adult Gays and Lesbians could be punished with the death penalty .
