- Status is not correct "Panama Supreme Court has not acted in several years. The existing pan-americian Treaty to which Panama IS a party requires recognition of same-sex Marriage Certificates from other countries but Panama will not do so until its Supreme Court orders it to do so and those cases have been under advisement for years. This affects Visa applications, health care, wills and estates and many other related rights and privileges. "
