DescriptionTo change the gender marker on an ID; the state requires certification of gender change signed off by Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathy, Physician Assistant, Advanced Practice Nurse, or Doctor of Chiropractic to the Driver Licensing Office.

To change the gender marker on a birth certificate; gender reassignment surgery and name change is required. New birth certificates are given and the originals are sealed.
