| Description | There are explicit legal barriers in Education since 2016. In 2016, the Legislative Assembly of Ceará adopted Law No. 16,025 which bans "gender ideology" in education. In 2018, the city of Juazeiro do Norte has approved Law No. 4,853 which bans the teaching of contents related to "gender ideology".
