The Patos for Diversity Movement is an initiative that was launched in August 2023 with the aim of promoting inclusion and respect for diversity in the city of Patos de Minas. Their movement focuses on actions targeting the LGBTQIAPN+ community, recognizing that addressing intersectionalities is not only inevitable but also essential. Through events, educational campaigns, and partnerships with local organizations, we seek to foster dialogue, combat discrimination, and celebrate diversity in our city.
It works together with the "Projeto Trans 34" and "Mães pela Diversidade". These three are the reason a lot of LGBT+, and especially transgender people, have access to free hormone therapy, document changes, psychological support, and a supportive community.
