GENDERDOC-M was founded in 1998 as the first non-governmental organisation protecting and advancing the rights of LGBT+ people in Moldova. Their stated goal is to create a favourable legal and social environment for LGBTIQ+ people by developing the LGBTIQ+ community, informing, promoting rights, providing services and organisational empowerment.
