  • Newer law has been passed "The Supreme Court in the case of Navtej Singh Johar v. Union of India (2018) held that "Sex" in the Article 15 includes "Sexual Orientation." The Supreme Court held in the context that the State cannot discriminate against people based on "Sexual Orientation." There has been no law passed to prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation. "
  • Newer law has been passed "The existing anti-discrimination law was extended to Government institutes only under existing Right to Equality. Citizens or Private entities can discriminate as usual."
  • Status is not correct "Indian Discrimination Law applies only to Government employment. Private entities can legally discriminate based on sex, religion, gender identity and sexual orientation. "
