  • Status is not correct "Same-sex expatriate couples may access things like joint bank accounts, dependent visaa for themselves and their children, and are hired for visible positions such as school administration. Given this, it may make sense to use Ambiguous as the status here. There is no formal recognition, but there are certain rights which are also extended to openly gay couples. This is much harder for Rwandans than for expatriates."
