DescriptionTransgender individuals in Czechia are legally protected when accessing restrooms matching their gender identity. Under Section 2(4) of the Anti-Discrimination Act (Act No. 198/2009 Coll.), discrimination based on gender identity (pohlavní identifikace) is explicitly classified as sex discrimination and applies to access to all public goods, services, and facilities. Additionally, building and workplace hygiene standards (Government Regulation No. 361/2007 Coll.) regulate sanitary requirements without restricting access based on gender presentation.

DescriptionThere are no explicit laws or legal restrictions in the Czech Republic banning transgender individuals from using public or private restrooms matching their gender identity or expression. However, there is also no specific statutory law explicitly protecting or guaranteeing access based on gender identity. Restroom access is generally governed by building standards and workplace hygiene regulations (Government Regulation No. 361/2007 Coll.), which regulate sanitary requirements without banning gender-neutral facilities or restricting access based on gender presentation. The Anti-Discrimination Act (Act No. 198/2009 Coll.) broadly prohibits discrimination based on gender identity in access to public services.Transgender individuals in Czechia are legally protected when accessing restrooms matching their gender identity.
