Description | Since 2009, LGBTIQ+ people are protected in the military code of Argentina. In 2009, sexual orientation became a protected characteristic from discrimination in healthcare in Tierra del Fuego under federal Argentine law. However, gender identity remains unprotected. Conversely, in 2021, gender identity became a protected characteristic from discrimination in employment in Tierra del Fuego, also under federal Argentine law, but sexual orientation remains unprotected. Outside of those contexts, there are no discrimination protections provided to LGBTIQ+ people in Tierra del Fuego. |
