In October 2025, the Ministry of Education banned inclusive language in the country's public schools and all institutions affiliated with the Ministry. The new order prohibits the use of words such as "amigue," "compañere," "todos y todas," "alumn@," "jovenxs," or "nosotrxs," or "any other linguistic distortion that alludes to gender ideology."
