- Note field is incorrect "Since 25 of December 2021 all restrictions and testing of blood donations given by members of the lgbt+ community have been lifted. And although until 2018 you could have theoretically donated blood while being gay in practice they never let you actually donate when discovering you're part of the community, the law said you could but the company law did not allow it.

Today, the entire LGBT community is allowed to donate blood in a manner that is equal and identical to the general population. The only restriction is on people who have had high-risk sex with a new partner in the last 3 months. High-risk sex is defined in Israel as anal sex or under the influence of drugs. Therefore, heterosexuals and homosexuals are allowed to donate blood equally.
