DescriptionIn 1969, Santa Fe passed a law that criminalised people from "dressing and passing themselves off as a person of the opposite sex in daily life" with up to 4 months in prison, criminalising the expression of trans people.

In 2003, this was explicitly labelled as cross-dressing but the penalty was lower to 20 days. The law would be repealed in 2010.
