| Description | In Durango, there are no laws restricting the discussion or promotion of LGBTQ+ topics as its new Penal Code in 2004 contained no mentions of homosexuality as a "corrupt habit" in its law against corruption of minors. However, in 2026, there are proposals to ban the usage of gender-neutral language that includes nonbinary people in education. Additionally, a 2025 amendment to Article 9 of Durango’s Education Law requires that the “correct usage of Spanish” be taught, a wording which has already been used in Chihuahua to censor such topics. |
