  • Newer law has been passed "The Supreme Court in the case of Navtej Singh Johar v. Union of India (2018) held that "Sex" in the Article 15 includes "Sexual Orientation." The Supreme Court held in the context that the State cannot discriminate against people based on "Sexual Orientation." There has been no law passed to prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation. "
  • Newer law has been passed "Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity was included in the Fundamental right to protection from discrimination, however, the anti-discriminatory article of the Indian Consitution applies only to government. "
