| Description | Article 4(1) of the Law against Discrimination (2004) bans direct and indirect discrimination based on "sexual orientation". In 2015, the Law against Discrimination (2004) was amended by the Law on Amendment and Supplementation of the Law against Discrimination (2015), which inserted Additional Provision 1(17) establishing that the term "sex" includes the category "sex change". According to ILGA, even though this is a progressive step, this terminology may fail to offer comprehensive protections against discrimination based on "gender identity".
