  • Other "There is a spelling error: the state is Florida, not Flordia."
  • Status is not correct

Reports (6)
  • Status is not correct "Texas' H.B.20 legislation does not "censor" LGBT+ issues. The law maintains that citizens may sue if they feel they are discriminated against by social media platforms for their viewpoints/political beliefs by having their posts/accounts blocked or banned. This law would not permit, in any way shape or form, a member of the LGBT+ community to be sued or silenced. Quite the contrary, the law makes it clear the State of Texas wants people to post anything that they want without repercussions. It is incorrect to frame Texas' law as censoring LGBT+ individuals. https://www.axios.com/2022/05/16/court-texas-censorship-lawsuits-flood https://www.reuters.com/legal/government/court-revives-texas-social-media-law-against-banning-users-views-2022-05-11/"
  • All information is correct, just adding sources "There is also no censorship in Arizona or Utah"
  • Status is not correct "Curriculum restrictions do not constitute censorship as they do not restrict discussion"
  • Newer law has been passed "florida “don’t say gay" bill"
  • Status is not correct "No one is being censored in the Florida bill. Teachers are just being instructed to not say certain things. It is not a violation of free speech because teachers are consenting to the job. They can speak about anything off the clock. Censorship is a limit on free speech. This is the wrong term in this context."
  • Newer law has been passed "Florida has passed said bill that bans any lgbtq references or depictions in schools"
