Same-sex adoption: Illegal from 2016 to now.
On Mon 21 Aug 2023 02.00 EDT In Italy, same-sex couples do not have a legal right to adoption, stepchild adoption or surrogacy. The only opportunity for both parents to have rights with their child is via a legal loophole where the parents can go to another country and have their child by surrogacy. Step-child adoption are no longer recognised as of August because of the new government restricting Same-sex couples right. This page was vandalised by Samuel_NOT_Samuele please check sources

Censorship of LGBT Issues: State-enforced from 1990 to now.
There is mainly no censorship in Bulgaria. However, most TV shows with Homosexuality acts have been or most likely banned. Moreover, most of the time if there is a LGBTQ parade there is also a anti-gay parade. For example in June there was a massive protest against LGBTQ family rights which I will put in the source box to check out. Also there has not been many parades in Bulgaria, as a incident in Burgas they were throwing rocks and other stuff at the parade. There has been LGBTQ+ advertisements however, they either have been taken down or vandalised. Also a bisexual officer set up a LGBTQ union but was shunned which I will also put in the source box. Most schools are not allowed to teach and promote LGBTQ+ Topics. Most homophobic propaganda put up is not taken down or vandilased. And there was once a The Amazing World of Gumball episode banned in bulgaria for having homosexual activity in the episode. Most of this kind of like Indonesia. For other mods do not change this as I'm pretty sure my info is correct it took a while to find all of this info so if it is wrong please put a lot of info. Thank you. I will add extra info soon.

LGBT discrimination: Illegal in some contexts from 2004 to now.
Discrimination in bulgaria is illegal in some contexts. Although it seems to be progressing there are still no laws for hate speech and hate crime. Most of the time police ignore this. Moreover a anti-gay parade happened in June and police did nothing about.

Serving openly in military: Ambiguous from past to now.
Only 22 Countries allow Trans Military Service, Ukraine is not one of them. However, Ukraine’s armed forces do not have rules preventing the LGTBQ community from serving. There are many openly LGBTQ members fighting in the current war against Russian aggression. Of course, they may face discrimination, but they're definitely not banned from serving.
